April’s Adoptable Pets

Posted by Jen Siow on

Every week on Facebook and Instagram, we feature a local adoptable pet in our much-loved segment called Pet of the Week. We’ve gathered all of April’s featured pets here so you can meet (and share) them all at once!

Note: While we try to make sure this post is always up-to-date, sometimes a pet gets adopted before we have a chance to make the necessary edits. Please check the linked website for more information on the current availability of each pet.

Persnickety Pets: Pet of the Week Wellington

April 6: Wellington

Duke Wellington the Well-Dressed is here to win your heart with his lovable personality and flawless good looks. He’s a purveyor of the finer things in life: dried tuna flakes, cushy beds on high perches, a wide assortment of cat toys. Wellington loves attention in all forms (chin scratches are his most favorite) and enjoys hanging out wherever you want to be. This photogenic boy is as sweet as he is handsome; one look into his captivating green gaze and we know you’ll be smitten! Wellington is all dressed up in his finest tuxedo and impeccable white gloves to meet you - how could you ever resist this fine, purrfect gentleman?

Wellington is an adult male shorthair who is good with kiddos, dogs, and cats. Wellington is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.

Persnickety Pets: Pet of the Week Sunny

April 13: Sunny

Does your day-to-day need a little more play? If so, Sunny would like to come your way! This sweet, boisterous girl is all about PEOPLE and would blossom in a home with a human of her own. She’ll lean on you for pets, she’ll climb in your lap for a nap, and she’ll show off her leash manners on all sorts of outings. Sunny likes interactive toys the best so she can stay close to you (have we mentioned she’s all about the people?) but she would also be great in a family with dog siblings to play with. This girl is basically just a big puppy who’s bouncing through life, and she has all the makings of your next best friend! Add Sunny to your family and we’re pretty sure you’ll never have another gloomy day ☀️🐶

Sunny is an adult female pittie mix who is good with other dogs but would be best in a home without cats. Sunny is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.

Persnickety Pets: Pet of the Week Peaches

April 20: Peaches

Are you looking for a feline friend who’s sweeter than sugar? Do you want a kitty you can pick up and cuddle? How about a purr machine who likes to hold paws? If all the above sound like your kind of cat, then you need to come meet Peaches! This sweet southern peach is a charming, talkative girl who is sure to win your heart. And we know there is a special human out there who will appreciate her purrfectly peachy personality. If you’re looking for double the calico cuteness, consider adopting Peaches with her sister, Heidi!

Peaches is an adult female domestic shorthair who is good with cats and kiddos and may be alright with calm dogs. Peaches is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.

Persnickety Pets: Pet of the Week Libby

April 27: Libby

When you get to be Libby’s age, there are only a few things you want out of life: a cushy place to sleep, someone to love on you, and lots of yummy snackums. At 11 years old, Libby has a surprising amount of pep in her step and enjoys going for walks to get in her daily aerobics. She also loves a good window seat and will never turn down belly rubs. Libby has some ongoing health issues that mean she needs regular medication, but that’s not going to keep her from enjoying her golden years. All she needs is someone to live the happy days with her!

Libby is a senior female hound mix who is good with dogs, cats, and kiddos. Libby is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.
