Every week on Facebook and Instagram, we feature a local adoptable pet in our much-loved segment called Pet of the Week. We’ve gathered all of February’s featured pets here so you can meet (and share) them all at once!
Note: While we try to make sure this post is always up-to-date, sometimes a pet gets adopted before we have a chance to make the necessary edits. Please check the linked website for more information on the current availability of each pet.
February 2: Miss Beautiful
It’s not clear what Beautiful’s previous life was like before she came to ARF, but we do know that a lot of it was spent outside with multiple litters of puppies. Last week, she made her way to ARF where she can focus on healing before her spay helps stops a needless cycle of pet overpopulation. In the meantime, Beautiful’s sweet nature is winning over the hearts of everyone she meets. At around 35 pounds with a dainty frame, she’s the perfect size for almost any living situation. We think she could really flourish into a wonderful companion under the kindness and care of a gentle person. Are you that person for Beautiful? If so, Beautiful would love to meet you!
Miss Beautiful is an adult female lab mix. She is good with other dogs but still needs to be formally cat-tested. Beautiful is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.

February 9: Rassie
UPDATE: Rassie has been adopted! If you’re looking for sweet with a touch of sassy, look no further than lil’ miss Rassie! This adorbs solid grey girl has everything it takes to make a wonderful companion to a very lucky human. Rassie loves to be held while she gets her daily scritches and enjoys napping in blanket burrows. She’s always down for a good game of “pounce the mouse,” too. At 8 months old, Rassie is still very much a young lady, but her personality is no longer a question mark. She’s also about as big as she’ll grow, so you don’t have to worry about any surprises from this girl (unless it’s to sneak attack the afore-mentioned mouse)! Take some time to get to know Rassie and we’re pretty sure you’ll want to take this sweet ‘n’ sassy girl home 💕
Rassie is a young female domestic shorthair who is good with other cats and kiddos. Rassie is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation.

February 16: Pumpkin
Baby blue eyes? Check. Spunky ears? Check. Friends with everyone, has a good off switch, cute as a button? Check, check, and CHECK! It’s hard to find a more perfect pup than this sweet Pumpkin pie! Pumpkin’s favorite things are toys, cuddles, snacks, and playtime. Her favorite game is fetch (although tug is a close second) and she loves to show off her “people skills” by balancing on her hind legs and walking around. Pumpkin has great house manners, knows basic commands, and is open to dog and cat siblings if they’re the right fit. At just over 2 years old, Pumpkin is the perfect age to grow up with your family and would love nothing more than to be part of your pack. If you’re looking for a sweetie pie who’s up for anything, then you need to come meet Pumpkin!
Pumpkin is a young female mixed breed who is good with kiddos and may be good with the right fur siblings. Pumpkin is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.

February 23: Toga
UPDATE: Toga has been adopted! Toga came to ARF as a petite pregnant mama who needed a safe place to have her kittens. After raising her 5 kittens into adorable little copycats, she’s ready to be someone’s baby. Toga enjoys pets, snacks, and scratches; she loves to lounge about luxuriously, make biscuits on plush blankets, and bat at all sorts of toys. This girl really knows how to live! She’ll still put on her “fierce mama” persona around other cats, so she would do best as an only cat or with chill feline companions. Spunky and playful, yet always ready for a cuddle, Toga would be a wonderful companion to grow up with your older child or teen.
Toga is a 2 year old female shorthair who is good with dogs and kiddos. Toga is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.
