Every week on Facebook and Instagram, we feature a local adoptable pet in our much-loved segment called Pet of the Week. We’ve gathered all of July’s featured pets here so you can meet (and share) them all at once!
Note: While we try to make sure this post is always up-to-date, sometimes a pet gets adopted before we have a chance to make the necessary edits. Please check the linked website for more information on the current availability of each pet.
July 6: Domino, King of the Cattery
This week we’re going to let a very special cat tell you why you should adopt him…
“Hello fair friends! I am Domino, King of the Cattery here at the Animal Rescue Foundation, and I’m accepting applications for my forever human! Ideally my human would be laid-back and chill, like me. No big expectations, just happy to hang out. Looking for a home with lots of cat-friendly napping spots and a nice scratching post. A feline friend or two would be cool, and I wouldn’t mind a dog who accepts me as King. Food and water bowls must be kept full. Toys are ok but cat tents are better. Bonus points for someone who is generous with the snackums.“
Domino is an adult male shorthair who is good with cats, dogs, and kiddos. Domino is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.
July 13: Fluffy
Fluffy lives up to her name and just wants to be your fluffy cuddle buddy! This loving girl grew up without toys, treats, or cuddles. Now that she’s had a taste of the pampered life, she never wants to go back. Her favorite thing in the world is just being near someone; in a wide open playpen, you will find her cozied up next to the nearest human. She loves to play but she’s also completely fine to just hang out. Fluffy can be picky about her dog friends, but she has lived with other dogs before, so we think she just needs to find the right doggie siblings. If you think this cuddly buddy would fit well into your family, schedule an appointment to meet Fluffy today!
Fluffy is an adult female shepherd mix who may be alright with other dogs. Fluffy is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.

July 20: Zander
This sweet, pillowy boy is our favorite marshmallow! Zander loves to be around people and he’s great with cats and other dogs. He’s working on his crate skills and house manners but he’s happiest when someone is home to hang out with him. Zander’s favorite pastime is to wallow around on his back, feet up to the sky. He does this so much that his foster family has dubbed him the Upside Down Turtle (see comments for a video). Zander would love an easy-going family who has lots of time to spend with him. We think he’d make a coworker or office dog — you just can’t stop smiling when this big marshmallow comes over to say hi!

July 27: Molly
When Molly’s mom passed away, ARF stepped in to be her halfway house and care for her until another family could open their hearts to this gorgeous Maine Coon mix. Miss Molly is slowly but surely coming out of her shell and we’re learning that she is just as sweet as she is pretty! If her striking green eyes and beautiful, flowing locks don’t catch your attention, her loving demeanor surely will. This magnificent floofer is all about the pets: head and neck scratches are nice, but scratch Molly under the chin and she will be your best friend! Molly would love to have a human companion to give her all the attention — if that sounds like you, grab some treats and come meet Miss Molly!
Molly is an adult female longhair who is good with cats, quiet people, and may be alright with calm dogs. Molly is adoptable through the Animal Rescue Foundation of Mobile, AL.
